The first in a series of six films made last year for the Nevis Landscape Partnership. All feature interesting folk who are very different but share a common interest - Ben Nevis. This one is about Dougie Sinclair. His morning journey to work is pretty impressive!
The second in a series of six films made for the Nevis Landscape Partnership. All feature interesting folk who are very different but share a common interest - Ben Nevis. This time it's a very cold but stunning night out on the Devil's Ridge in the Mamores with painter Jamie Hageman.
The third film made for the Nevis Landscape Partnership. All feature interesting folk who are very different but share a common interest - Ben Nevis. Helen Rennard is a winter climber who has climbed many new routes on Ben Nevis over the past several seasons. She does a lot of winter climbing and although she finds it challenging, she is really good at it and one of the most solid people in arduous situations in winter.
Cathy Mayne is an ecologist and works on projects restoring natural woodlands and other habitats in Glen Nevis and many other parts of the Scottish highlands. She has a dose of realism about the nature of ecosystems and the choices we have to make to look after them properly.
Blair has been on the Lochaber climbing scene forever. He is a very accomplished all round climber (IX,9, F8b, E7 trad and many hard new routes). He also knows a lot about snow.
Dave Cuthbertson (Cubby) is a legend of Scottish climbing. More recently, Cubby has focused on climbing and mountain landscape photography. This year, (finally!) he is bringing out a book on Scottish rock climbing photography. In this film, Dave MacLeod spent the coldest night of the winter camping on the summit of Carn Mor Dearg to photograph the sunrise on Ben Nevis.
Soloing the classic big ice route Orion Face Direct V,5 on the north face of Ben Nevis.
